Hello Romance Reader,
Happy Belated Valentines Day...
As many of you know, I love puzzles and I was tickled pink to discover that during the Regency period when public declarations of love were often taboo, Valentine's Day offered a socially acceptable "window" for flirtation, including the gifting of puzzle purses. Not a purse like a ridicule... no a puzzle purse was a a sheet of paper folded into a small square. As the recipient unfolded each layer, it would reveal verses, drawings of hearts, or other symbols of love. I shall have to try and incorporate this tradition in one of my upcoming books - what do you think?
