Just checking in! The podcast is on break until season two. Since the break started I’ve .... ❄️ Done some SERIOUS work identifying my target listener and I’m still working on that. Finally learned the basics of SEO thanks to @girlgetvisible ? ❄️ Created a new website! Yay! — pursuingpurposepodcast.com ❄️ Survived the Texas Winter Storm (we thankfully still have all of our utilities but many business are still closed and many people are STILL without power. Please pray for Texas) ❄️ But we did enjoy the snowfall before it got too cold! I’ll be honest and say with all that’s been going on with the weather I’ve had some shortfalls but that’s when the art of the pivot comes in. My two week goals may be slightly delayed because of the winter weather but that doesn’t stop me from making steps in other areas to achieve my overall goal of setting up new routines. I’ve been reminded of simple words of wisdom from my peers that have encouraged me to keep going where I can! -Progress over perfection (thx @beachseeker_media) -And where there is a will, there’s a way! ????? ?? ?? ????????? ??????... I’ve had a sudden influx of new followers so a reintroduction seems fitting! Hi! I’m Rashida Jackson the host of the Pursuing Purpose Podcast. This photo was actually taken 3 years ago when I launched the podcast originally. I had just come out of 5 years of failure, disappointments and setbacks. Basically it felt like 2020 stretched across 5 years. If you can imagine that ... you probably don’t want to ? But that was my reality and I was so grateful to come out of it, I just wanted to share how God led me out of all I had gone through to a place where I could truly laugh again. If you haven’t heard my full story be sure to tune into the podcast where I share my fully journey from DAY 1 and step by step of how I went from consistent disappointment to success to walking in my purpose. And I’m still learning y’all and just sharing the lessons learned along the way. It’s not too late to set those New Year’s resolutions! Last week on the podcast I talked about how to get laser beam focused on your goals for this year. This method is also helps you to internalize your goals and gives you time to get clarity on details of your goals. I got this idea from my favorite online mentor @terrisavellefoy and this method is pretty simple: you write your goals out daily on a fresh sheet of paper each day for 30 days but the catch is that you can’t look back at your goals for the previous day. The thinking behind this is that you will remember the goals that were truly important to you. This is only of my favorite tips when it comes to actually achieving the goals and resolutions for the year! Let me know if you decide to join me in this challenge in the comments below.
