Yesterday's book was "Hooked: How to Build Habit Forming Products" by Nir Eyal. I came across this excellent book at MTPCon a couple of years ago (back when we got on these big flying tubes called "airplanes" and went "other places.")
"Hooked" is a great book that talks about creating products that make such a strong connection to your customers that they keep coming back over and over again!
The book I didn't give away
Hooked isn't Nir Eyal's only book. When Nir spoke at Mind The Product, he was actually talking about how to take control of your habits in light of the very habit-forming products we try to create.
Nir has studied product management and psychology to develop a deep understanding of why we do the things we do and how to be intentional about choosing experiences and priorities. His newest book, "Indistractable: How to Control Your Attention and Choose Your Life" is dedicated to that study. I didn't choose this book because it isn't really a product management or leadership book, but it is still a book worth looking at if you want to understand this psychology and "know thyself" even better.
