Hi !
It was strange not having a Product Coffee meetup this morning, but we'll be back at it next week.
Before we get to that, I want to thank you for the investment you've made in Product Coffee this year. You've shared your time with a bunch of people who are passionate about creating amazing, radical improvements in the lives of their customers.
And you've shared it with me. The thing I value most is relationships with professionals like you. Thank you.
Next week we are back at it, and I really need you on this one. This is going to be a group discussion on career design and finding the right employers, led by our friend Jessica Landisman Williams.
Will you come and share your thoughts with the community?

Wednesday, December 2, 2020 from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM (EST)
New Session Suggestions
We've got a few new session suggestions from Product Coffee fans. Take a few minutes to check them out and vote for the ones you think we should schedule! And if you want to raise your game, add a few suggestions of your own!
๐๏ธ "The Art of Impossible: Preventing Design Thinking Failures" suggested by Jason Rome
Design thinking has seen rapid adoption by leading brands and is being taught by prestigious universities across the globe.
Enterprises are running design thinking workshops, but great ideas aren't making it to execution.
This talk looks at both how bad ideas get launched and what breakdowns may be happening in the design thinking process and what we as product managers can do to improve it.
It focuses on
- Improving the quality of concepts
- Successfully transitioning from ideation to implementation
- Drive results for the business
๐๏ธ "Competitive Research" suggested by Mark Isbitts
How to do comprehensive competitive research beyond the company's web site.
Many companies have a "Product Management" team but don't seem to understand what we do or where we fit into the organization.
Some see us as an extension of Sales or Marketing, while others may see Product Management as part of IT/Development.
Enjoy,
Jason Brett
