2023 Best Year Ever đź’Ą

Hello dear ,

It has been a while, I'm back with new energy and new content.

The beginning of anything new brings new hope, like the NEW YEAR. Life has been rough, unprecedented, uncertain, and, yes, crazy since March 2020! And now that life is almost normal (or is it?), there is new hope for 2023. Can you feel it in the air?

I have been dealing with uncertainties, pivoting (yes, that word again), adjusting, and surviving in a new world of doing things differently. I faced many uncertainties. However, I kept on going, and, to my surprise, I was coaching, on average, 15 to 20 laid-off clients a month.

I felt challenged initially, and I wondered how to help others when unsure of the future myself! They all assumed that no one would be hiring during Covid. I wasn’t sure either, but I kept quiet, listened, and tried my best to help each of them. Being present, coaching, and supporting them to show their best selves, they felt hope when they uncovered their strengths and accomplishments. Then they updated their brands (resume, LinkedIn, etc.) and—it worked! IT WORKED! They found jobs. The world did not completely stop, it simply changed!

This experience increased my awareness of humans’ adversity to change. Change brings on a loss of control, certainty, and competence. Change can also be uncomfortable. I’m here to minimize your discomfort; that’s my job, my expertise.

I want to make 2023 the best year EVER for my clients and me! Yeah, I’m known to say something and add “ever” at the end. I have a reason—this word is my fuel and motivation and keeps me going. My new purpose is to help people find joy and fulfillment in their future selves. My goal for 2023 is to write a blog and show up in your Inbox every Monday. With renewed energy, I want to help you, my subscriber, learn more about your job search, career change concerns, interviewing, and transferable skills. I will also help you by sharing my case studies of people I coached, giving concrete examples of strategy and success. Additionally, I will focus on: gracefully aging, minimalism, travel, planning and goal setting, and embracing change, all things I’ve been passionate about and even more for the last three years.

If these ideas and subjects speak to you, stay tuned because my blog on Monday, January 30th, is about “How to identify your transferable skills,” which is challenging for some clients. I will share tips, tricks and statistics that have helped them and will hopefully help you.

REPLY TO THIS EMAIL and ASK ME ANYTHING ABOUT career change, and I will write a post about it to help you and all of my subscribers.

Until Monday,

I remain your sounding board.image
