Hi ,
When I first stepped into my role as a business analyst, I felt thrilled about the opportunity.
But there was one aspect that filled me with dread: facilitating meetings, workshops and leading conversations.
Every time I had to stand in front of a room full of stakeholders, my heart would race, my palms would sweat, and my mind would go blank.
I'd stumble over my words, second-guess my insights, and leave feeling deflated.
But I refused to let this anxiety hold me back.
Here's how I turned things around:
📍 I found a mentor who had been in my shoes - Their advice and encouragement were invaluable.
📍 I invested in training. Courses on presentation skills and facilitation techniques gave me practical tools to manage meetings effectively.
