Hi ,
One of the best piece of advice that has profoundly shaped my career trajectory is the importance of building relationships and meaningful connections with stakeholders.
When stakeholders are genuinely engaged and feel a personal connection to the project, they're more inclined to contribute their best efforts.
They transition from being mere participants to being invested partners in achieving project outcomes.
Hereβs how I bring this advice to life in my day-to-day work:
πPersonalized onboarding meeting: At the outset of a project, I organize a meeting to introduce myself and also to learn about my stakeholders on a personal level.
This helps me understand their preferred for collaboration and communication channels, their level of experience and availability for the work.
This initial interaction lays the foundation for trust and open communication.
πEducating them on the BA work approach: I take the time to walk stakeholders through the project delivery approach, work scope, estimated timeline, and their roles and responsibility.
This ensures they understand how we will collaboratively enable the change(s)
πActive engagement: Whenever their schedule allows, I involve stakeholders in the activities and decisions.
This participation not only enriches the project with their insights, but also instills a sense of ownership in the outcomes.
πRegular communication: providing regular updates and check-ins help keep everyone on the same page and fosters a collaborative environment.
