There is a total lunar eclipse coming up this weekend, September 7-8. It is often regarded as an inauspicious time when the sky turns totally dark, according to traditional Chinese fortune-telling. This eclipse will be visible in the Eastern Hemisphere, including Asia and parts of Europe, but not in the US. Either way, you might feel out of balance, more emotional, or have difficulty sleeping.

Due to the leap lunar June this year, we are still in lunar July, a ghost month traditionally known for unpredictable events. The mid-lunar July "Zhong Yuan Festival," or spirit festival, is on September 6. Since it is so close to the lunar eclipse, pay attention to travel safety and avoid important events during that time. The lunar July will end on September 21. September 22 is the first day of lunar August.

For September's Feng Shui, someone asked about using Metal element in the Northwest to reduce star 5. That is undoubtedly a good choice. Fire can reduce yearly star 3 and reduce the conflict between stars 3 and 5, but if you want to focus on reducing star 5 directly and safely, use more Metal elements.

When the season changes, it's a great time to start over. You can do a deep cleaning and rearrange your environment, including the closet, furniture, pantry, and so on. It is easy to accumulate too much stuff at home and become a burden rather than a joy. Now is a good time to redesign your space to reflect your dream life.
