It’s all about automation, right? Well, not quite… Automate only when the manual process is solid—that’s when it’s time to double down! And in Imdone 1.46.0, I did just that, automating a few things that were working well.

I think you’ll love these updates! They’re designed to help you manage tasks and stay organized right in your code.

What’s new:

🗄️ Archive completed cards automatically

• Completed cards can now move to a subdirectory for cleaner organization.

🎉 Give kudos based on task completion

• Fine-tune when kudos show up with the new Kudos probability setting.

📁 Smarter file handling for new cards

• When adding a new card to a folder, Imdone creates a file using the card’s title as the filename—spaces become dashes, and it gets an .md extension.

⏩ Faster autocomplete

• Recently used paths will now appear at the top of the autocomplete list and stick around.

📜 Simpler card duplication

• When duplicating a card, it will default to the same file.
• (Copy the board action code from a new project to .imdone/actions/board.js if you want this feature in an existing project.)

👀 Control your notifications

• Now you can hide or show reminders and kudos notifications based on your preferences.
