This week’s email is a great one as we touch on one of the oldest ways to monetize your podcast but I’m going to share with you a way to 10x your revenue from this method.

As you know I always request different niches or podcasts to help populate ideas to monetize your podcast. Well, a few weeks back a member replied to my email.

They felt for sure they knew the way I would monetize their podcast and they were right however as I want to always add more to every bit of knowledge there is out there.

The type of Podcast we are going to talk about is….

BOOK BASED PODCASTS

Now, I know you are thinking about the simplest way to monetize a podcast about books…

AMAZON

Yeah, that's what I first thought but when I looked into being part of Amazon’s Affiliate program I was amazed at how low the return is for the work you have to put into it, . Yes passively if you put an affiliate link to the Amazon page of the book you’re reviewing on the podcast then you could get some money but that will take a while. 

You could put it in a blog post reviewing the book as well, just know that will also take some time to build trust but it will work. There are plenty of blogs, youtube videos and podcast telling you how to maximize your Amazon Affiliate links, but that’s more work and we want a simple way.

That’s why the simplest way to monetize your Book based podcast is to create a 

BOOKCLUB

That’s right,, a simple book club for all your fans to read with you.

It worked for Oprah and her book club so it should work for you. 

Start by using Patreon to collect the money and a Facebook Group to keep things organized. You can also give shout-outs to members who selected the book of the month or provided interesting points of view. 

Another benefit is you can ask everyone to use your AMAZON AFFILIATE link to purchase the book.
