It's Not Just For Therapy

Will the Real You please stand up
When most people think of hypnosis, usually the first thing they think of is how Hollywood or a Stage Hypnotist portrays it. Or they are looking at it as a therapeutic tool, with the classic applications of helping to stop smoking or for weight management.
But, there is so much more that hypnosis/hypnotherapy can be used for. It’s great for improving and enhancing your creativity. It can help you “think outside the box”. It is also an excellent tool to expand your horizons and to help you grow into the real you.
Many in the business call this Generative Hypnosis. This style of hypnotherapy, as opposed to Remedial Hypnosis - the “fix my problems” kind, is able to help you on your journey in discovering the real you.
Everyone is traveling through this world going from one trance to another. If we didn’t we wouldn’t be able to function. In fact, you can’t even walk across the room completely consciously. And, that’s fine until something happens. While we are cruising through life and something happens that causes us to hit a speed bump. So, we need to stop and figure out what it is.
It’s an opportunity to awaken, but we usually just want to “fix the problem” and return to our mindless sleepwalk through life. I wonder what would happen if we used that opportunity to ask what other possibilities are there? What else can this event mean? What else can we do?
There are plenty of hypnotists out there that are just a “fix the problem” type. And that’s okay. People have problems they want to be fixed - to stop smoking, get fit, become better students or athletes. That’s good and hypnosis can definitely help with all of those and so much more.
But, when I work with my clients, I work to help them BOTH fix the problem and discover so much more about themselves than the labels they, or others, have place on them. I work to heal the relationship between your conscious and unconscious mind, expand your horizons, and become the REAL YOU.
Isn't it time?
Hypnotically,
Dr. Shane
