Sunshine, puppy kisses and baby snuggles

Well lovelies, I missed the last newsletter and I would apologize but I was busy getting snuggles from my 1-year old niece and I’m not sorry one bit! I’ve had a lot of messy life going on lately so the family time was much needed.

I had a whole week filled with baby snuggles, puppy antics and California sunshine—just what my soul needed. Since I’ve been home I have been cleaning out closets and hanging new artwork up on my walls. Life is still messy but at least it’s starting to feel like my own again!

What’s new

Apart from my new artwork, I’ve been diving into the new series and loving it! Someone in my Facebook group recently nailed the theme of the new series (which I will be revealing in the next newsletter). But for one last clue, here’s an (*unedited and subject to change*) out of context quote that I hope gets you as excited to read this as I am to write it!

“See, that’s what I thought too Benny-boy, until I learned a little secret.” I lean close so I can whisper the important tidbit I’d learned from Juliet. “Girls don’t want to meet a handsome stranger they’ve never met before and be swept off their feet. What they really want is to have the mysterious stranger who sweeps them off their feet turn out to be the good guy they’ve known all along. Haven’t you ever seen You’ve Got Mail?”

What’s next

Well, tomorrow, July 22 I’ll be at the Oregon Authors Table at the Lane County Fair from 3-7pm for my very first ever author signing. I’m nervous but excited, and looking forward to meeting some other local authors.

Don’t forget, Nov 12 is the 20Books Vegas Author Signing Event. There will be a ton of other amazing authors there as well so if you need a getaway I’d love to see you there!

Want to try something new?

Have you read Pas De Quatre yet? This quick read is a fun look at the Mondayest of Mondays, and we get to meet Hannah, Olivia, Lisa and Katy on the day Toe to Toe begins.

I am so beyond excited for this series, it has a ton of my favorite authors participating and it’s a fantastic twist on a retold fairytale—they’re all written from the villain's point of view! I can’t wait to dive in! The Beast and the Enchantress releases August 13

If there’s one thing Astrid, an aspiring enchantress, has learned throughout her studies, it's that magic must only be used for good. But when an egocentric prince breaks her sister’s heart, Astrid’s only focus is revenge, and what better way to enact it than with a well-chosen curse?

A simple incantation is all it takes to transform the arrogant prince's appearance to match the state of his heart. But something goes wrong, causing the spell to affect not only the prince, but its caster as well. As the curse begins to change her appearance to reflect the state of her own vengeful heart, Astrid becomes desperate to break it at all costs, even if it means entering the castle in disguise and interacting with the prince she loathes.

To her surprise, Astrid encounters not a conceited prince, but one very different from the one she cursed. She soon finds her heart softening, but not in the way she expects—she’s losing it to the cursed prince she has vowed to hate. The closer they become, the more desperate Astrid is to free the prince, and herself, from the curse. But in so doing, she may lose the man she loves forever. For how could a prince ever love the woman who turned him into a beast?

The Beast and the Enchantress is one of twelve short novels in A Villain's Ever After, a collection of standalone stories featuring villainous twists on some of your favorite classic fairytales. Read the series in any order for magical adventures...and fall in love with villains as you've never seen them before. Who said villains can't have happily-ever-afters?

Stay amazing!
