{{contact.first_name}}, The science of the "Savoring"

Hi ,
I was sitting at my desk the other day—staring at a blank page and a gray sky—and I felt that familiar fog rolling in.
My old instinct? Try to "productive" my way out of it. Just grind harder, add more tasks, and force the momentum back.
But lately, I’ve been reading research from Dr. Judith Moskowitz at Northwestern University that suggests that is exactly the wrong approach. She studies people in intense stress, and her data shows something surprising: Happiness isn't the absence of stress. It’s a parallel track that you can build, even when things are heavy.
It’s called "Savoring."
It’s not about "good vibes only." It’s a specific psychological skill that builds resilience.
I wrote a short post about how to use your journal to build this resource—especially when you don’t feel like it.

Stop trying to fix the fog. Just learn to see what’s sitting right next to it.
Best,
Scott
