This spring has been a bit of a whirlwind with traveling, blizzards, cat wrangling and backyard bird counting, so the time has really flown since I started working on this project months ago.

I'm clearing out my old files and preparing for a return to science fiction romance with the next book in the Alien Rock Stars series! That being said, there is an intermediate step between Madcaps and my subsequent release:
Madcaps: 1989, a prequel novella that takes place entirely in the cartoon world of Madcaps.
This twist on the parallel universes trope (which has been fun ever since I discovered Narnia as a kid) allows for some uniquely fun moments--breaking the fourth wall in new ways, revisiting favorite episodes of childhood favorites and asking the tough questions. After all, what does the layout of a cartoon house actually look like when you step inside?
