Sometimes you live a double life whether you want to or not.
Life one: I’m a school teacher recovering from a painful breakup and starting things fresh with my friend Max Moon. It’s a difficult task, considering that Max and my ex Sandy and I have all signed contracts to spend our summer working on a reboot of the classic cartoon Madcaps.
Life two: I’m animated cartoon heroine Mary Madcaps, and Max and I live in a colorful 2-dimensional world where our lives are determined by adventure, plot twists, and diabolical schemes from colorful villains.
After we learned that one episode was going to get rewritten, the changes began to affect my “real” life as well as the cartoon world, leaving me stranded in the land of Madcaps and suddenly alone for the first time.
This is the second book in Sierra Storm’s Madcaps, a fast-paced urban fantasy comedy series that involves alternate realities, alternate identities, and zany humor.
The book is set to release in a couple weeks, and I'll let you know after it goes live. In the meantime, I encourage you to check out the preorder and reserve your copy now.

Beyond The Blood Veil
They told me journalism was dangerous. But no one ever told me it could make me undead…
Now I’m thrust into a supernatural world, complete with my talking, shapeshifting, Taylor Swift-obsessed cat.
My name is Kali Black, and for the last decade, I’ve been chasing a child trafficking ring no one else believes exists.
Becoming a creature of the night won’t stop me cracking the case. If anything, it’s given me an edge.
But power comes with a price. The Enforcers are watching, and stepping out of line could get me staked.
My sire is still out there, and I need answers. Time is running out. The sun’s rising, the Enforcers are closing in, and the truth is darker than I ever imagined.
If you love sharp wit, dark secrets, and urban fantasy with bite, sink your fangs into Beyond the Blood Veil!
First Rain: The Witch's Bestiary Prequel (Novella)
Alicia Stormwell thought being a magical veterinarian would be exciting. She imagined healing griffins, treating injured phoenixes, and maybe even negotiating peace between rival dragon colonies.
Instead, she spends her days dodging projectile manticore diarrhea and questioning every life choice that led her here.
When an abused wyvern lands on her examination table, she can’t just file a report and move on. She has to find out who is responsible.
But Alicia isn’t just dealing with a few shady smugglers. She has walked straight into the heart of a supernatural trafficking ring, and the creatures running it are more monstrous than anything she has ever seen in a cage.
If she doesn’t act fast, those fantastic beasts will disappear forever and she might not live long enough to regret it.
Her magic is limited. Her training has never been tested outside a sparring mat. And if she doesn’t figure out how to fight back, she is going to end up on a very long list of missing witches.
Magic won’t save her. But maybe, just maybe, a well-placed punch will.
Author News
We're counting down to release day, and I'm torn between publishing Maniac and working on my next book--a new Alien Rock Star Romance novel!
Each of my projects has a different pacing and culture, and the change in my music tastes is the most distinctive shift of all. For Medusa vs. Life, I put together a playlist of tango and flamenco music with bits of bossa nova for a saucy Mediterranean flair. For the Alien Rock Stars Series, I listen to classic rock (lately centering mostly on the CLASSIC classic rock of Elvis and Johnny Cash).
Madcaps was hard to figure out at first. I wanted to listen to ambiguous nostalgic cartoon music, but all I could find was Disney and distinctive theme songs. Ironically I found my answer in listening to a series of classic spy movie and TV show soundtracks. Who would have guessed?
Stay tuned for more updates, and I'll send out an email once Maniac goes live.
Ciao!
