Hey, Street Team!
It's release week, and this time I'm excited to introduce the release of Madcaps into the world.
From my past few emails, I'm assuming that you already know the details of the book. But because it's AWESOME, I'll share them again below.
My name is Mary Maxwell, and I’ve just learned that my entire life is a lie.
Well, sort of. A number of unexpected events led me and my coworker Max to question the truth beyond the animated show we were cast to voice-act. One thing led to another. Before we knew it, we weren’t just playing the main characters: we had jumped into the fictional universe of Madcaps and become them.
Now we face a new question: Which world do we actually belong in? And which one do we want to make our home?
This is the first book in Sierra Storm’s Madcaps series, a fast-paced urban fantasy comedy series that involves alternate realities, alternate identities, and zany humor.

Author News
It might come as a surprise, but release weeks for me are... actually pretty chill.
(Other than the obvious book signings with lines around the block, morning talk show interviews and viral web appearances, of course.)
Usually, it's the weeks leading up to a release that bring in the stress. This is where I'm frantically busy coordinating with reviewers, setting up promotions, reading, setting up a paperback edition (if applicable) and re-reading my book for last-minute typos.
Then comes release day. I prefer to think of the first whole week as a release week and keep the day itself between me, my reviewers (so they have time to post), and everyone who ordered a pre-release.
If everything goes well, I wait a day or two until Thursday to send out this newsletter.
Sometimes I have to make a minor adjustment or two during this period. For example, I had a series of links to bookstores to update that I didn't catch until Tuesday. A small fix... but better than watching in horror while all of you go to the wrong book!
Near the end of the week, I turn my focus more immediately to the next book on my list. By this time, I'm usually drafting again and ready to shift into full gear for the future project--in this case, a return to a familiar series...
Which I'll share more about in my next newsletter!
Ciao!
