,
You are not alone!
You are connected to others.
If you feel lonely, look around you, reach out here or to a friend.
If you need to meet new people in person, search your local fb group. There are likely many groups in your local area who offer coffee meet ups, walking groups....
Join the Peanut app, which is for women looking for friendships locally.
Yes reaching out can be hard sometimes, but if you feel lonely, staying alone will not change that. 1 mimute of courage will help you to change your mental health and happiness.
Reach out. Get passed the worry or discomfort.
Sometimes our friendhsips change as we grow into a different phase of our life. Not because our friends don't like us but because we have less in common or we are far appart. Or maybe you need something else at this moment in time.
Great friendships will rekindle if they are meant to, but it doesn't mean you can't meet new people.
Be creative!
One of the best happiness booster for me during the first lockdowns was walking with a 90y old woman I had met a few months before in a dance group. She had so many stories! It was my weekly dose of happiness.
Be creative!
It will be worth it.
And in the next month I will be organising FREE meet ups too ... I have surprises in store for you !
Big hugs,
Peggy x
