The Write Stuff
Greetings reader and writer friends,
Well, July certainly went by in a blur, and what a strange month. We had some of the hottest weather in years and the thunderstorms and tornado warnings to go along with it. I hope everyone is enjoying the outdoors.
Here are few book recommendations that you might enjoy. A fantasy escape awaits you.
Conquest of the Dracomancer (The Complete Series) by Luna Fox
The "Plight of the Dracomancer" series is the sequel to the "Dracomancer" series.
The choice that started it all.
Two years after the battle at Heartheim, Kalindra’s heart remains restless. As protector of balance, she has yet to glean new information on the Elemental Aspects. Meanwhile, trouble brews among the kingdoms of men and geans, as political allegiances shift, and the value of Dracomancers is diminished due to Kalindra’s choices.
Evolution is just beginning.
Rina, Kalindra’s dragon companion, is changing too quickly for her understanding. Not only is her body growing in size and strength, her knowledge and thinking ability is evolving beyond what is normal for a dragon of her younger generation, causing her to be shunned and feared by her peers.
Danger has come.
Yenderen, Kalindra’s mentor, returns from a diplomatic expedition to Sil’derel Academy, but his return heralds disaster. Battered and wounded atop his dragon Braxenar, he warns of an incoming wave of attackers from Sil’derel Academy. The demidrake shares his fears with Kalindra: That Academies, and the history around them, are a sham, and the once-proud protectors of Balance have become infatuated by their own power.
As the battle is waged on Iclindir, the question remains in Kalindra’s mind: Who, or what is behind the attack on the Academy?
The “Plight of the Dracomancer” series is a fast-paced, action-packed young adult epic fantasy adventure with swords, magic and dragons, unexpected twists and turns, and endearing characters.

Henry will do anything to save his father. Even if it means keeping secrets. Big ones.
Thirteen-year-old Henry Miller knows he's not typical. And it's not just because he's the president's son. Trouble is, Henry can't seem to talk about it. Literally. Or make this new strength happen at will. If he could, he might be able to help some people, and to be seen as his own person instead of just a politician's kid.
Instead, he's stuck navigating the daunting world of White House ushers and antiques, maids and security. As if that's not enough, there's his fancy new school with its formidable principal and the senator's snotty daughter. In the midst of it all, Henry feels a little lost and a lot useless.
Until he and his best friend Lucy uncover a plot to assassinate his father.
But the closer Henry gets to finding the assassin, the more he begins to wonder if it's really the president at stake. Or is his father just a pawn in a game where they need to find the king?
