For the last few months, I’ve been struggling with editing files that I saved onto our computer. Microsoft would keep telling me the following error message: Upload blocked – We couldn’t verify you have the necessary permissions to upload the file.
Let me preface that by saying it never used to do this before.
I have spent months trying to figure it out, and I think I finally have. Microsoft doesn’t like me using my Microsoft account and then saving it to my partner’s computer, which is probably signed into his Microsoft account/OneDrive, even though word is specifically signed into my Microsoft account. I guess it was messing with the syncing ability or something.
As soon as I turned on autosave and used my own OneDrive connected to my Microsoft account, then it started saving. I still can’t use the “save as” option, otherwise it still does the annoying “Upload Blocked,” but at least I don’t have to worry about my file not saving properly.
I kind of miss how tech savvy I used to be when I was younger. All the new ways they do things have so many layers that it boggles my mind.
Or maybe, I’m just old now, and my brain doesn’t like complicated technology. Haha.
Thankfully, I should be able to start moving a little quicker with my writing again because I’ll be less worried about whether it’s saving properly and be able to focus primarily on my story.
Have any of you ever experienced this or have any stories of your own where technology just up and said “Nope, not today?”
