Hi ,
If you would have asked me 8 years ago if I thought I would have the life I do now, I would have said, "Ya right."
I was in the depth of survival mode with raising the kids and dealing with a spouse who didn't appear to care about us. Owning a home didn't even come into my thought process, neither did finding the courage to reach for higher plains in my career.
I did the motions every day and wondered if life would ever get better, while at the same time, trying to find the beauty in every day life. That was my mantra really, if life was hard, I would go outside and look for something beautiful, but that still doesn't take you out of survival mode when you are in a bad situation.
In 2019, I finally found the courage to reach out for something better and realized we deserved better than the life that we had. I finally stood my ground. Life didn't change quickly, but choosing myself for once made my perspective change.
