Hi ,
It doesn't take much to get off course, does it? My plan was to release my book in February; but when I went to finish editing it, I saw some flaws that needed work. And in the process of trying to pick away at those flaws, we bought a house.
We're just in the process of closing on it. Our closing date is Monday, April 27th, so needless to say, my entrepreneurial side took a slight hike up the housing mountain. We start moving into our new place on May 1st if all goes well. It is so exciting that my brain is not able to focus on much else which doesn't bode well for business. *lol*
My new plan is to set up an office once we move in and throw everything I have at my newest book, along with other business ventures I would like to go on. Since I do my own formatting, I was thinking of entering the formatting business and help others out who may not be able to afford formatting software.
Too be honest, my biggest issue is focus. I get caught up in the stresses of life and struggle with finding the laser focus needed to sit down and forget about everything else and just edit the darn book. I think many of you know what it's like when you are pulled in a hundred different directions.
On top of all this, we have also set a wedding date and will be having family come in just a few short months, so we have to ensure that our house is sorted and prepped for everyone. But I think I have to relearn how to dedicate time to each thing like I used to do before, otherwise something will always come up and distract me from the tasks at hand.
I hope I'm not the only one like this. Please let me know how you stay on track.
xo,
Patricia Elliott
