Hi ,

Here at Panjango, we love receiving feedback and seeing how our resources are adding value to the student's learning journies, whilst also lightening the workload of our subscribers.

With your feedback in mind, this month’s update features some of the resource types that subscribers have said they have enjoyed using with their students, and have made a real impact when it comes to their Ofsted inspections too.

🧑‍⚕️ Individual Careers Resources

Our individual Careers resources are perfect for achieving Gatsby Benchmark 4 - they link careers to the curriculum in an innovative and fun way and contextualise core learning by highlighting possible future applications in the world of work.

We know that time is limited but just a couple of challenges each morning during tutor time can be enough to spark that little bit of inspiration in our learners and engage them with planning for their futures.

The three individuals careers added to the resource bank this month are:

Each resource also includes key job information, discussion prompts, seven contextual challenges and a ‘boss level’ which takes students through a series of three story-driven challenges.

You can find the full collection of individual Careers resources here.

Remember there is also a Career Exploration worksheet for students to complete to reflect on the career they chose to explore.

🚴🏿‍♀️ Tour de France

Another favourite with subscribers are our Events resources which enable learners to develop their skills and apply their curriculum knowledge in a fun way that relates to current world events.

The summer months are packed full with sporting events and so we’ve added the Tour de France to our collection - which is taking place between the 1st - 23rd July.

Learners will compete in teams to win the points for each stage before they arrive in Paris and see who will be awarded the Yellow Jersey!

They’ll practice their French as Translators, test their communication skills as Journalists, and imagine life as a Professional Cyclist as they work through 11 stages of the Tour. As an added challenge, some of the stages are ‘sprint’ stages where they will compete to finish the tasks in the quickest time!

We’ve included an answer grid too so no extra preparation is needed - simply start the race and be prepared to act as the Race Manager who will award points to the teams!

You can find the Tour de France resource, along with 18 other resources relating to major events in the calendar, in the Events folder here.

📚 Key Stage 2 English

We're often told by our subscribers that many KS3 students in their school are behind academically and are still working at a KS2 level.

So we've added six more KS2 level resources providing contextualised challenges relating to each topic on the English curriculum.

We've added resources covering the following topics for both upper and lower Key Stage 2 English:

These resources are ideal to pass on to the English teachers in your school to help them bring the English curriculum to life and connect careers and the curriculum (and meet Gatsby Benchmark 4).

You can find the full collection of KS2 subject resources here (currently covering English and Science, with Maths to be added next month).

Alternatively, find 27 resources covering every topic of the KS3 Maths, English and Science curriculum here.

🔦 In The Spotlight

Alongside the new resources, we'd like to put some existing resources in the spotlight as they are particularly relevant at this time of year.

Our Transition Pack can be used during Transition days to prepare Year 6 children for the move to secondary school and help them develop some of the skills that they will need to thrive in the next stage of school.

The Transition Pack also contains the 20 Questions resource to encourage conversations between students to help them make new friends, discuss topics relating to starting a new school and quickly settle into their new learning environment.

If you’d like more themed resources, check out the Panjango World Tour and the Wimbledon Rally. These are perfect for use in the next month to coincide with the upcoming summer holidays and the world's most famous tennis championship starting in July.

We really do love hearing feedback about what works well in your school, how you are using our resources and if there is anything you’d love to see us add to the Resource Bank. Just hit reply to this email and let's chat!

Otherwise, you can access the full set of more than 300 different games, activities and teaching resources in the Resource Bank here.

We hope you enjoy these latest additions and we'll be in touch again soon,

Jon and the Panjango Team
