Some lesser-known pagan themed movies and series for you to watch

In recent years there are quite some movies and series that have come out with something of a pagan theme. A movie like "Midsommar" or a series like "Vikings" get a lot of attention in pagan circles because at least they offer something "pagan-ish".
But besides this handful of well-known productions, there are a lot of lesser known productions based around a (more or less) pagan theme. So this time around, we'd like to share some productions that are worth watching.
Redbad (2018)
"Redbad" is a 2018 historical drama film set in the 8th century during the Viking Age. The movie follows the story of Redbad, a young Frisian nobleman, who is forced into exile when his father is killed in battle. Redbad seeks refuge with the Vikings but later decides to return to his homeland to challenge the oppressive rule of the Franks. The film portrays his efforts to unite the Frisian tribes against the Frankish empire, with themes of loyalty, courage, and resistance against tyranny.
Valhalla (2019)
The two children Røskva and Tjalfe embark on an adventurous journey to Valhalla with the two gods Thor and Loki. However, the peace of Valhalla is threatened by the monstrous Fenris wolf and the dreaded giants, the Jotnar. Together with the gods, the two young humans take on the fight to save Valhalla from the end of the world – Ragnarok.
Brocéliande (2002)
"Brocéliande" is a 2002 French mystery thriller directed by Doug Headline. The film revolves around a series of gruesome murders that occur in the Brocéliande Forest, known for its legends of King Arthur. A police investigator delves into the dark secrets of the forest, uncovering a twisted and unsettling truth.
Valhalla Rising (2009)
"Valhalla Rising" is a 2009 Danish-British adventure film directed by Nicolas Winding Refn. Set in the early medieval era, the film follows the journey of a mute Norse warrior named One Eye and a young boy as they join a group of Christian Vikings in their quest for the Holy Land, encountering mysterious and brutal challenges along the way.
Frau Holle (movie) (2008)
Frau Holle is a German fairy tale film by Bodo Fürneisen from 2008. It is based on the fairy tale Frau Holle and was created as part of the fairy tale film series "Six at a stroke", which was first broadcast on German television in the 2008 Christmas program.
Il primo re (movie) (2019)
"Il Primo Re" (The First King) is a 2019 Italian historical drama film directed by Matteo Rovere. Set in ancient times, it depicts the legendary tale of Romulus and Remus, the founders of Rome, and their epic journey from humble origins to becoming the first kings of the Roman civilization.
I still worship Zeus (documentary) (2004)
"I Still Worship Zeus" is a 2004 documentary exploring the revival of ancient Greek religion in modern times. It delves into the lives of contemporary practitioners who embrace Zeus and other Olympian gods, shedding light on their motivations and the challenges they face in reviving this ancient faith.
Ancient tale: When the sun was god (2003)
In the 9th century, a tyrant oppresses pre-Christian Slavic tribes living on the Polish lands. They must unite for the common future.
Ragnarok (2020- )
A small Norwegian town experiencing warm winters and violent downpours seems to be headed for Ragnarok -- unless someone intervenes in time.
