Children’s book: “Tumi Goes to the Park”

Good day,

My name is Paballo Rampa and I am an author based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Growing up, I wished I read books that were set in Africa and were about children who looked like me. Representation matters. It’s part of why I started writing and want to see more children all over the world read.

In my children’s book, ‘Tumi Goes to the Park’, little Tumi doesn’t let anyone stop her from having a good time. She loves going to the park with her mum and enjoys playing on the swings and slides. But most of all, she loves making new friends!

Order your copy of ‘Tumi Goes to the Park’ at R120 each excluding delivery today and join Tumi as she explores while making some unforgettable memories. This book celebrates being fearless and living life to the fullest – no matter what anyone else says. It is an important addition to your child’s school and personal library. I wish I had a book like this as a child.

Through this book, I'd like to remind little girls that it’s okay to be fully themselves no matter what that looks like. I'd like little boys to know that too about themselves. There is no need to live according to society’s definition of what it expects you to be if that’s not in alignment with who you truly are.
