OPIN Newsletter - May 2021
Welcome back to the OPIN Newsletter! Summer is right around the corner, and in Canada, we are still under some quite restrictive lockdowns. All in all, we are enjoying what time we can outside and look forward to things opening up!
However, one social distancing activity I hope that you all got to enjoy this month, wherever you are located, was the awesome total Lunar Eclipse (Blood Moon) 2021: The first total lunar eclipse in two years took place on May 26 and it was a super blood moon. It was visible from some parts of the Pacific, the Atlantic, and the Indian ocean!
Recipes for the Season
Speaking of social distancing, we thought we would share one of our internal traditions at OPIN that we have been participating in since the pandemic began! We have been organizing weekly virtual cooking classes to help quell those pandemic woes. It has been a wonderful success and is a great team-building activity.

It’s all for fun and is a very low-pressure great time. This week, our awesome Chef, Rawan will be teaching us how to cook one of my personal favourite desserts, Baklava!

Global Accessibility Awareness Day 2021
In case you missed it, May 20 is Global Accessibility Awareness Day. As usual, at OPIN, we try our absolute best to spread the word about web accessibility and strive to help make our digital world more accessible each and every day.
This year, we collaborated with our good friends at the Canadian Paralympic Committee in an article to discuss some of the challenges they are facing this year with the Olympics going mostly remote due to COVID restrictions.
We are pleased to announce that they came up with an amazing way to deliver this year’s games to the masses with a revolutionary, fully accessible to all solution.

Drupal Community Update - May 2021
We wanted to share with you the Drupal community update for May 2021. There are some great groups that have been highlighted this month. These initiative groups are making great strides to help grow the overall Drupal community.
