Impact Over Income: Why purpose-driven work sustains you longer

Hello Family,

In a world that is obsessed with making money, it is easy to forget why we started working in the first place. We often ask, "How much can I get?" when the better question is, "Who can I help?"

When you focus on the value you provide to others, the rewards—including income—eventually follow. But more importantly, you find a sense of peace that money alone cannot buy.

A Story from My Journey

Years ago, when I began writing and speaking, there were moments when the "numbers" didn't seem to add up. There were days when I wondered if the long hours and the energy spent on the Pdac Foundation were worth it because the bank account didn't always reflect the effort.

During one of those low moments, I received a message from a young person who had attended one of our programs. They told me that a single lesson on self-belief had stopped them from giving up on their education. In that second, my "why" became clear again.

I realized that while income pays the bills, impact is what pays the soul. If I had chased only the money, I would have quit long ago. Chasing the impact is what keeps me standing today.

This Week’s Challenge

Before you start your work today, ask yourself: “How will my work today make someone else’s life better?” Focus on that person, and watch how your energy changes.
