Kaikōura: NZ's newest dark sky sanctuary

Kia ora ,
You might be surprised to learn that DarkSky International officially designated Kaikōura as an International Dark Sky Sanctuary on the 12th September 2024.... that's right, a little over a month ago!
Traditionally people visit Kaikōura for amazing animal encounters (whales, dolphins, albatross and NZ fur seals) and great seafood.
The town itself is gorgeous too, surrounded by mountains and the open ocean. It is also a convenient stop between Christchurch and Picton.
But, nighttime activities have been very restricted in the area - until now!
We're delighted to introduce you to Moana Skies, the newest tourism offering in town.
Delivering quality, fully-guided tours of the night sky, their team will introduce you to our beautiful Southern Hemisphere constellations - and we're very lucky to have an ongoing discount for them, and two $359 vouchers to give away!
To enter, simply click into this post and let us know who you'd like to take with you on your tour (but don't worry, we won't hold you to taking them - the voucher is yours to use as you like, should you win).
PS: While you're in Kaikōura, be sure to check out all our deals.
Good luck!
Ngā mihi,
Sarah
