Here's your what's happening guide in NYC for the

Week of June 15 - 21st, 2026

For the week of June 15 through June 21, 2026, NYC offers some fantastic programs & events happening.

Including city-wide performing arts at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and SummerStage NYC, neighborhood-specific block parties and fairs, and weekend park picnics.   The main are city-wide Juneteenth Cultural History Highlights (June 19) and, Make Music New York (June 21), alongside seasonal outdoor food markets


🆓🎟️Free tickets for the NYC Municipal Building's Centre 360  viewing sessions begin June 11. 

With eight daily viewing sessions offered Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

Reservations for the next available month open on the first day of the preceding month, but slots frequently sell out quickly. Let me know if you're able to book any tickets and how to tips…as I’ll be trying for a ticket & hope to get one.

🗽City-Wide Events & Festivals (All Five Boroughs)

  • Mobile Unit's AS YOU LIKE IT | The Public Theater June 04, 2026 - June 28, 2026 

  • Make Music Day: On June 21, the summer solstice, hundreds of free, outdoor, participant-driven live musical performances take over sidewalks, plazas, and community gardens in all five boroughs. Check the Make Music New York directory for neighborhood-specific hubs. 

  • SummerStage NYC (All Five Boroughs): The city’s largest free outdoor performing arts festival turns 40 this year. Throughout the week, catch a diverse range of music, dance, and spoken word events spanning multiple neighborhood parks across all five boroughs.

  • Summer for the City (Manhattan - Lincoln Center): A massive, months-long arts festival that spans dozens of indoor and outdoor spaces. Visitors can enjoy free and choose-what-you-pay outdoor dance parties, concerts, and silent discos all weekend. 

  • Borough-Wide / Mobile

    • 13th Annual Pineapple Ride

    • When: Saturday, June 20, 2026 (7:00 AM)

    • Where: Route weaves through The Bronx and other boroughs

    • What: A comprehensive 70-mile community cycling tour celebrating New York City's iconic landmarks and the wider cycling community.

Upper Manhattan (Harlem):

  • Make Music New York - Harlem: Bring the family to the Jackie Robinson Recreation Center on June 21 for live bands, spoken word, and community performances. 

Washington Heights:

  • Scandinavian Music Festival: On June 21, enjoy classical and contemporary Scandinavian music from the Scandia Symphony outdoors on the Billings Lawn in Fort Tryon Park. 

NYC Multicultural Festival 2026 Part 2

  • When: Saturday, June 20, 2026 (3:00 PM)

Central Park (Upper West Side):

  • Shakespeare in the Park : The legendary open-air theater at the Delacorte Theater stages free professional performances of classic plays.

Prospect Park / Park Slope

Williamsburg:

  • Naval Cemetery Memorial: Join local community members on June 21 for a blend of live music and sound baths at the Greenway Botanical Garden.

Long Island City:

  • Culture Lab LIC: (Ongoing every weekened through Sept 27) Visit the outdoor art and performance space at Culture Lab LIC throughout the week for rotating gallery shows and free courtyard musical performances. 

Flushing Meadows Corona Park:

  • FIFA World Cup™ Fan Zone (Through June 27): Located at the Billings Lawn / USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, this outdoor fan zone offers media activations, food, and watch parties for international matches.


🏟The Bronx

Pelham Bay Park

  • Bronx Arts Ensemble Summer Music Series | June 14 - July 27: From Pelham Bay Park to the Van Cortlandt House Museum, the Bronx Arts Ensemble’s Summer Music Series brings free, live music to open spaces across the Bronx. The series kicks off with “The Jenn Jade 5! Presents: Summer Sprinkles!” at Pelham Bay Park.

Concourse (Concourse Village)

Hunts Point

  • Hunts Point Fish Parade & Arts Festival

  • When: Saturday, June 20, 2026 12pm-4pm 

  • Where: THE POINT CDC at Riverside Campus for Arts and The Environment,  940 Garrison Ave

    • Following a kick off parade, head over to Hunts Point Riverside Park at 1:00 PM 1409 Lafayette Avenue for the Arts Festival. Immerse yourself in live performances, savor delicious food, and witness incredible art!

  • What: A vibrant annual community tradition featuring a joyful marine-themed puppet and banner parade that winds down to the Bronx River, followed by live music, dancing, and environmental justice-focused activities.,


🏝️Staten Island

Staten Island Tours NYC Parks June 15 - June 21, 2026   

Stapleton

Livingston / Snug Harbor

Details: An artisan market featuring more than 40 Staten Island vendors, handmade goods, pop-up music, and local food.

When/Where: Ongoing in June; check the Snug Harbor Cultural Center for schedule updates.
