🧠How to Get Unstuck and Find Your Joy
Oct 07, 2023 2:51 pm
Hello ,
A lot of us get to a point where we are just going through the motions, doing the same things over and over again. It feels like being a hamster on a wheel, tirelessly spinning but going nowhere.
The excitement we once had fades away, and every day loses its spark. People lose motivation and cannot do anything because they are afraid of change.
But keep in mind that being stuck does not mean the end of the road. It could just be a signal from life that it's time to move forward. In order to get out of this rut, you need to start doing things differently.
As Einstein wisely put it, "You can't solve a problem with the same level of thinking that created it." Here are some simple steps that could help you with this:
1. Break the pattern:
We're creatures of habit, often seeking comfort in familiar routines. However, this can also keep us stuck.
Try something new each day to gain a fresh perspective.
Try a new sport or activity, meet someone new, or do something meaningful you’ve never done before.
Small changes can have a big impact on your mood.
2. Get Outside More:
Nature has a remarkable effect on the brain, reducing rumination and alleviating depression.
Take a stroll outdoors, pay attention to the world around you, and reap the benefits of exercise for both your mind and body.
3. Have Something Meaningful to Do:
Set goals, even small ones, and work towards them daily.
Whether it's planning outings, helping others, or pursuing a personal project, having a purpose brings back your drive and joy.
Change may seem daunting, but as Mark Twain noted, "20 years from now, you'll be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do."
Embrace these steps and break free from that rut.
I hope that you find new happiness and a sense of purpose.
đź“™ BOOK RECOMMENDATION OF THE WEEK.
Happy Sexy Millionaire By Steven Bartlett
This book by Steven Bartlett was a really good one. I loved the perspective he shared on success and happiness, which are not often spoken about.
I was expecting financial guidance, but instead I got a lesson on what life is really about and more important things to focus on besides just making more. Good read. Here are 5 takeaways from it:
1. Embrace Authenticity.
A big lesson from "Happy Sexy Millionaire" is that being yourself is the only way to be truly happy.
Being authentic will help you reach your full potential, just as it helped the book's author, Steven Bartlett.
If you want to be successful, you should celebrate your strengths, skills, and interests. They shouldn’t be overlooked.
2. Prioritize Well-being.
Bartlett emphasises how important our well-being is in achieving true wealth.
Self-care should be a top priority in your life. You can do this by journaling, working out, or just spending time with people you care about.
In order to be happy and successful in the long run, you need to take care of your mind and body.
3. Set Bold Goals.
The book tells you to set big goals that are in line with your values. Figure out what you want your personal and financial future to look like.
If you are determined and have a clear goal, you can find your own way to become a "millionaire."
4. Learn from Adversity.
While Bartlett was trying to become successful, he ran into problems and failed at times.
Remember that mistakes are chances to get better and learn. Accept that struggles are there to teach you and use them to move forward.
Your ability to bounce back from problems will bring you more happiness and money in the long run.
5. Practice Gratitude.
A recurring theme in the book is gratitude. Get into the habit of being grateful for the good things in your life and the present moment.
Regardless of how small or large, recognising what you are thankful for can change your outlook and bring you closer to the happiness you want.

🎤 PODCAST RECOMMENDATION OF THE WEEK
What Are You Willing To Sacrifice? | Ep 578
I really enjoyed listening to this solo episode by Alex Hormozi, where he talks about a difficult decision you need to make in order to get what you want: making sacrifices.
If you are having a hard time letting go of certain things you are chasing, this episode could give you a totally new perspective on how to approach that problem.
The line I loved the most from the episode was:
“The goal is not to outwork; it’s to outsacrifice.” (Paraphrased)
What you should expect to learn:
Why solutions that are socially acceptable are not always the best ones
How the stories we tell make us who we are
Why failure doesn't make you a failure but just a part of entrepreneurship
Why sacrifices you make for a certain amount of time don’t have to be forever
✍️ QUOTE OF THE WEEK
“Most times, the life you want is just a few uncomfortable conversations away. The problem is that most people never have them.” - Unknown
