This newsletter was brought to you by Shortform:

I never imagined that I would enjoy reading book summaries.

But ShortForm quickly convinced me otherwise.

I used Short Form to get a detailed breakdown of several books like "This is Marketing" by Seth Godin, "The E-Myth Revisited" by Michael Gerber, "Think Again" by Adam Grant, and many others, which they not only summarized but also built on ideas and gave practical tips.

Instead of simply summarising the book, they expand on its themes and increase its value.

“ShortForm” is like book summaries on steroids. SERIOUSLY!

The best part is that it will give you access to thousands of book guides for the price of one book a month.

It's definitely worth checking out.

🧩 FRAMEWORK OF THE WEEK:

Don’t we love to set New Year's resolutions? I mean, who doesn’t?

You set goals for things you want to achieve throughout the year.

But year after year, we don’t stick with them. Why is that?

The approaches that most people take probably include multitasking, taking more than you can handle, being vague, lack of clarity, and so on.

So, today I have three hacks that will help you keep your New Year's resolutions. Finally!

1. Write it down clearly:

Writing down your goals makes them more real and attainable.

Getting clear on your goals and knowing the steps you need to take to reach them is easier when you are specific.

For example, instead of "exercise more," specify "go for a 30-minute walk every morning."

2. Focus on one at a time.

If you chase two rabbits, you’ll lose them both.

If you chase two goals, you’ll achieve none of them or not as fast as you’d wished.

Focus on one. Then move on to the next.

3. Start small.

Starting with small, manageable steps builds confidence and momentum.

For instance, if your resolution is to read more, begin with just 10 minutes of reading each day, rather than 2 hours daily.

It makes it easier to integrate into your routine.

4. Get accountability

Having an accountability partner can significantly enhance your commitment.

It creates a sense of responsibility, and the support or encouragement from others can keep you motivated.

P.S. You also don’t need to wait until January 1st to change your life. It can happen at any time of the year.

✍️ A QUOTE TO REFLECT ON:

“Be the change you wish to see in the world.” - Mahatma Gandhi

If you want positive changes to happen, begin by embodying them yourself.

Instead of waiting for others to make a difference, take the initiative and lead with your own actions and behaviour.
