First a little story from my (ahem) colorful past:

Let me take you back to a time when my idea of β€œparanormal” was my ex’s texting habits. (Seriously, the man could ghost better than any supernatural I’ve ever written.) After finally breaking free from the not-so-nice relationship, I found myself hesitating to trust again.

Enter: The New Guy.

He was everything my ex wasn’t-kind, patient, and actually listened to me without checking his phone every five seconds.

It took a while for me to let my guard down, but eventually, I did. One evening, while I was channeling my inner Italian grandma and making lasagna (my ex’s favorite, actually), the landline rang. (Yep, I had one of those bad boys for a while---it was purple!)

In a move straight out of an alpha-wolf playbook, my new boyfriend answered the phone. There was something about the confidence in his voice that made me pause and swoon-a little. (Okay, was the protectiveness, the chivalry... hell, I'll admit it--- the dominance. I ate that up and asked for seconds...)

Um... where was I.

Yes, that's right. My ex...

Turns out, it was him on the line. We hadn’t spoken in months, but apparently, he’d heard through the grapevine about The New Guy (or maybe he just missed my lasagna) and wanted to β€œcatch up.”

Spoiler alert: I later found out he wanted me as his side-chick while keeping his fiancΓ©e. (Yeah, no. Hard pass.)

My boyfriend coolly told him I was busy making dinner-specifically, lasagna. The petty part of me did a happy dance as my ex realized he was officially out of the picture-and out of the kitchen.

Now, you might be thinking, β€œOkay, good for you, but what’s this got to do with your books?”

Well, let me unpack that for you.

The truth is, the heroines in my stories (like Alessia in Broken Legacy) often start out alone, guarded, and unsure who to trust. Alessia, who lost her mother, is first saddled with a not-so-nice stepfamily, and then she gets sold off to Lucien (who, let’s be honest, is his own brand of scumbag.)

Similarly, in Broken Bonds, Isa is on the run, convinced she has to face the world solo-until Etan steps up and shows her what it means to have someone truly in your corner.

These aren’t just plot twists; they’re pieces of my own journey. I write about fierce heroines learning to trust again, about finding unexpected allies, and about the thrill (and terror) of letting someone see the real you

Because I’ve lived it. Maybe you have, too.

So, if you’re craving stories where love is hard-won, trust is earned, and the lasagna is always hot (and eaten by a brooding supernatural hero), you’re in the right place. My books are for anyone who’s ever felt a little alone, a little guarded, and a lot ready for a second chance-whether that’s in love, life, or just reclaiming your favorite recipe.

Because here’s the thing: we all deserve someone who’ll answer the phone for us, stand up for us, and maybe even scare off a few ghosts from our past. And if that someone happens to have fangs, claws, or a mysterious past? Well, that just makes the story more interesting.

Thanks for letting me share a slice of my real-life drama (and lasagna) with you. I hope you find a bit of yourself in my heroines, and maybe a little hope, too. After all, happy endings might be rare in the real world, but they’re always worth fighting for.
