Kindle Vella has launched! And you can read my new story there!

Hello from Southern Minnesota!

I'm writing a quick piece of news because a story I've had on the shelf for a while has finally started to release.

The new Kindle Vella app is on the way and you can read my new GameLit serial "Warrior Online" on the site right now.

If you're not familiar with GameLit, allow me to explain the cute little subgenre as I understand it.

GameLit is fiction either set in or based on games, often virtual reality games. Isekai Anime is often GameLit, and is one of the biggest genres in that medium, with titles like Overlord, Sword Art Online, and a lot of others.

I used to be a huge Halo fan, as a teenager, and I've always admired the skill required to play games like that (As I've always been a pretty poor player of those games). Anyway, "Warrior Online" is a cyberpunk story that starts in a virtual reality game of the same name.

But there's renegade artificial intelligence afoot and our hero and heroine might find there's a lot more at stake than a high score or views on a Livestream.

Want to read it?

Here is a link to the page: https://www.amazon.com/kindle-vella/product/B094GQPWDS

You can read the first 3 chapters free, and Amazon is giving users 200 tokens for free, so if you feel like continuing, you can get everything that's currently out without paying out of pocket.

I'm excited about this new platform, as I've loved serialization as a format for a long time.

Thanks for reading.

Stay safe out there, and I'll write again soon.

Tim
