The Balancing Act Between Feast and Famine
, I made it through the wilderness (er, I mean the crazy conference gauntlet is over and I got a week off work to boot)! I had plans and a vague, but plenteous to-do list. Then I was reminded that rest is an end in and of itself, not just free time to be filled with tasks. A family member used to say it was better to wear out than to rust out. I ask, why do we have to go to extremes? I’m trying to stay right in the middle. So I am not the whirlwind of productivity I had hoped to be this week, instead I am receiving a much greater prize: restoration. Do something nice for yourself and rest—your body, mind, heart, and soul just might like it!
Get Ready for More Regina Grant Mysteries!
This week I am plotting my second novella in The Regina Grant Mysteries, Charming Disguises. I get so fired up about her and I can’t wait to get more of her amateur sleuthing on the page. Also, Sinnerman, Where You Gonna Run to?, the first of the Regina Grant Mystery novellas, will be coming out in paperback and ebook format by the end of this month! If you can’t wait, head on over the Kindle Vella and check it out there.
