I Saw Autumn Leaves This Week
, Fall has definitely sprung here in New England, see those leaves starting to change? I just have to watch out for that last flash of heat that’s going to make me regret taking out the air conditioner from the window. I recently made an important decision to more diligently pursue my writing and publishing. As soon as I made that decision, the other areas of my life got crazy and demanded more attention. Life is like that sometimes. So, while I am much slower than I would like to be, I am still moving forward with my writing goals and and much happier for it.
Fantasy—My Home Away From Home
When I need to read and immerse myself in the wonderful world of someone else’s make believe, I so often find myself drawn to fantasy writing. Memoirs are nice, and who doesn’t love a compelling whodunnit, but there is something about witches and wizards and prophesies and mind-boggling animals and epic quests that really gets me going. This week I’m working to finish up Ancillary Justice. If a spaceships’ AI in a human body that starts acting outside of its programming floats your boat, then step on in.
What In the World Is She Doing?
Life is crazy with a work conference out of town this week and an annual meeting we’re hosting next week, so honestly, I’m just focusing on breathing, being calm, and moving forward. My goal this week is to finish the final revision of Sinnerman, Where You Gonna Run to? A Regina Grant Mystery so that I can publish that short story and make it available to the masses who don’t read Kindle Vella. Wish me luck!
