Can Anything Really Get Done Between Now and the End of the Year?

, Have you noticed that it just seems like a holiday gauntlet between now and New Year’s? Maybe it’s just me but the time seems so short somehow, and it’s definitely not just the the shorter days. I have to keep pushing forward and stick to the plan. The urge to hibernate is so strong but I have to fight it! Do you feel like time is running faster around this time of year? What do you do to stay on track? Reply and let me know, I could use all the help I can get!

Let Nanomarko?🤷🏽‍♀️ Begin!

A funny thing happened on the way to dust of the Sci-fi epic I wrote last year for revision as my nanowrimo project—I realized I have no problem writing, it’s the marketing and getting it that last yard to the finish line that are challenges for me. So, instead of nanowrimo, I’m officially declaring November nanomarko (AKA national novel marketing month). Don’t worry, I’m not going to start turning my newsletter into some high-pressure Buy-Buy-Buy ad, but I am going to start implementing some of the great advice I’ve been getting about how to get more eyes on my books and Vellas. An author’s most elemental desire is that their work be read as widely as possible by all who might enjoy it. I just want to do all I can to help my books get into the hands of happy readers. It’s on, nanomarko!

What In the World Is She Doing?

Conference out of town for the day job all week and family commitments all weekend, yikes that’s a full week for me. I’m trying to fit in 5 hours of nanomarko stuff (mostly figuring out Facebook and IG ads better) and 2 hours of audiobook prep for my studio time recording before Thanksgiving. I can’t wait to get in the booth!

It's a Big World Wide Web Out There

🎶Unbreak My Heart🎶 Cry out those holiday blues before Turkey Day by checking out one of these tear jerkers. I don’t pick up this kind of book every day, but when I need a good catharsis this is where I go. Go on, have a date with a good book and a box of tissues!😂

Cry Me a River

Check out the prologue of this piece of women’s fiction by Tara Marlow. It’s reminiscent of my novel, Awakening. This may hold you over until book two in my series, Anointing, comes out.
