Dear Global Nerds and Friends of Nerds,
Sticking with our vow to only send you two or three emails each year, here's our second one of 2024. Lucky you. A few things going on in our world:
- Nerd Nite NYC kicks-off its 19th season on Friday September 20, 2024 at Littlefield in Brooklyn with presentations about TV doctors, sperm banks, and UFO/UAP sightings. NINETEEN seasons!
- After following the same format for our events since our birth in 2003, we're trying out our second ever new show in Los Angeles on Tuesday September 3, 2024. Three Spreadsheets to the Wind in LA brings three story tellers on stage to talk about a spreadsheet they made for personal use (in this case, to track French bulldog crime, figure out how to spend $100M, and predict when to retire). Excel + Drinks + You!
- Find our full global Nerd Nite events calendar here including 50th-anniversary shows in Madison and San Diego
- We added new videos to our Nerd Nite YouTube channel so you can be in your jammies while enjoying presentations about maggot therapy, insect sex catapults, and the hidden math of music (and much more).
- Need holiday shopping ideas? Our delightful debut book, How to Win Friends and Influence Fungi, makes a great gift.
- Merch! T-shirts. Sweatshirts. Other stuff. Nerd Nite merch!
Fun!
Matt
