HELLO AND WELCOME TO NOVEMBER. I love the 'BER' months and here we are halfway through them. I never know where to start really.

I don't talk about myself much, outside of my writing and my author friends...a.k.a "My Tribe."

What would you like to know? My email is always open, emptied, and filled again, at sunny@authornp.com You can also tell me if you are a reader or author with an Instagram or Twitter account for ME to Follow.

I live pretty much in the middle of the country. I can throw a rock out of my backyard and hit Nebraska AND South Dakota. And if I go out of town a bit, Minnesota is nearby. I love Iowa. I have loved in all four corners of it, and I must admit in the Fall I do miss the Banks of the Mississippi River. But it is also nice to be back home on the Missouri River Side. But I move back west and my family relocates to central Iowa. Figures.

Growing Up we almost had a light snow or light rain around Halloween. So it really didn't matter what you wore for a costume since you were probably going to have a coat on. Until Junior High, in those years you didn't care if you froze because what you looked like was always more important.

Snow around Thanksgiving was common and even got snowed in with extended family every now and then. I have, well had, an Uncle who drove a snowplow and he missed many a Holiday because of snow. Sometimes Uncle Paul would eventually get to join us and I remember he would take a seat and on the corner of the couch and fall asleep. No matter who many people talked around him he would stay asleep. And eventually, Grandpa Lorne's head would hang down too. image

Now my little bitty 5'2" inch best friend (who grew up in Uncle Paul's Church) drives a Snow Plow in Colorado, on steep, winding roads of the Rockie Mountains. SHE LOVES IT and some winters she won't make it home to REALLY for days, the plow drivers will sleep on cots in the "office." And I worry constantly. I have driven on those roads in the summer, in a car, and that is treacherous enough! BUT Beautiful!

BUT, my point, I have one....is things are drastically different now. We HARDLY ever see snow before Thanksgiving and I haven't seen a White Christmas in four years. Even in Colorado's Mountains, you think SNOW, but even there the snow seems to come later and later and makes MARCH the worst month of WInter.

Now, I don't want to start a HUGE Climate debate BUT I was born in the Famous Blizzard of '75. And a few more like that hit entering the 1980's but imagethose big Blizzards and the moisture they added to the fertile farm soil are gone now.
