Kia Ora...
Happy Chocolate Bunny Season!
We're already in April and the year still feels as though is its both zipping by fast and dragging its heels while the number of stories I want to release this year continues to grow...
Big thanks to everyone who has grabbed a copy of Not Invisible to Me and I hope that you enjoyed reading it as much as I did writing it.
Updates
I have officially started writing Deadly Gifts - Tokyo Nights 3 and are loving being back into this world. As I plan for this book to be of a similar length to books 1 & 2, it will be closer to June before it's finished.
I have also started another WIP to hopefully release at the end of April. Flex (Golden Decks Casino 1) is a story I started writing last year and ended up canning because of Covid as the original story revolved around two male gymnasts trying to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics.... see why it was canned. But I never wanted to characters I'd created for it be abandoned and I really wanted to write a story with gymnasts in it having coached gymnastics at a junior recreational level. Now I've resurrected it and shifted into the same universe as the Crime Lords series. My two MC's are still gymnasts but one works at the Golden Decks Casino where an opportunity to earn more money is presented to him and all he needs to do is compete in a few illegal fights... The story was planned to be a novella but I won't be surprised if it ends up over 40k instead of my planned 30k...
Once Flex is finished I will shift back to my Medieval Mpreg world and write book 3 in The Mountram's series. Book 3 will revolve around twin brothers, an injured knight, and a jousting competition.
As always you can find updates and sneak peeks at what I'm currently writing in my Facebook group....

Caught (Smoke and Shadows 1)
Chapter Five
The house on the outskirts of Ibaraki wasn’t anything flash, nothing at all like the one he’d left behind in Kobe to come here and stir up shit. Tomu knew he shouldn’t complain, it wasn’t his money that had bought, but the barely three-bedroom residence was not designed to house ten men. Then again, it had never been the plan for them all to be holed up in the one place, but the former boss of the Shirokawa-gumi had danced with the wrong devil and gotten himself killed, speeding up the plans of the boss Tomu answered too. “No better time to try and take over the organisation than when it lies in tatters across Osaka’s streets,” his boss told him, and Tomu had been hard pressed to disagree—knew better than to suggest otherwise. However, the haste with which they’d had to move saw them stuck in a too small house in the middle of what was now Araki-gumi territory.
And getting caught by the Araki-gumi would ruin everything his boss had planned.
Tomu groaned as his phone rang. He’d been barely slept for five hours in the last two days, what with abducting and beating the crap out of the young Shirokawa-gumi heir, before the bastard slipped free of his grasp and caused Tomu to chase after him. And as much as he didn’t want to answer the phone, Tomu knew ignoring his boss would only put him in the man’s firing line and he would very much like to stay alive.
“Yeah.”
“You weren’t supposed to let him escape, Tomu.”
“Fuck, I know that.” Tomu scrubbed at his face and rolled onto his back. “But he was a lot more resourceful than you’d led me to believe.”
“Your men underestimated him.”
“And then some.” He sighed. “But what’s done is done. What do you want us to do next? I’m assuming you even planned for this.”
His boss chuckled, a dark rough sound that sent many a man scurrying out of his way fast. Tomu wasn’t afraid, not of that sound. Not unless the man was in the same room as him with a blade in hand. “Of course, I planned for incompetence… and the young heir managed to surprise me too.” A door snicked shut in the background and the sounds echoing through the phone were tinny like his boss had entered a tiny space. “He’s gained a little confidence, and I want that removed. I want you to tail him, rough him up every chance you get… teach him that nowhere in Osaka is safe, not even the places where he thinks his power is strong.”
“What about his bodyguards? Do you want us to kill or incapacitate them?”
“Don’t worry, I’ll make sure they won’t be a problem.”
“Good. And the other job you wanted us to do?”
“I will text you the target’s name. But I want him alive, Tomu. I have plans for him.”
Tomu chuckled. “Got it Boss. I’ll have him waiting for you at the warehouse.”
He threw back the covers and clambered out of bed, scratching his belly as he stood and stretched. Tomu pulled back the curtains and stared at the sky, pinks and oranges spreading across it as the sky dipped behind the horizon and the forest in the distance took on a sinister appearance. It was still strange to stare out on the dark greenness of the hills surrounding the area when he’d lived most of his life staring at the empty blue of the sea. But for each body he’d dumped off the coast of Kobe or turned into chum, so the local fisherman did the job for him, Tomu had dumped two in the hills behind Ibaraki in the last four years. And another would be finding its way up there by morning.
Unless his boss wanted this body to be found.
Tomu turned from the window as his phone buzzed. Location details for the young heir and the name of the other target. He grinned at the screen, memorising the details before deleting the message.

“Who were you talking too?”
Takeshi’s voice startled Yoshitake, drawing his attention away from the message he’d just sent. He pocketed his phone and stared at Takeshi as the young heir stepped out of the bathroom with a towel slung over his shoulder. Desire pooled in his stomach, and it was hard to remember why they needed to leave this room at all, wanting nothing more to keep Takeshi naked for the rest of the night. But business wouldn’t wait for Yoshitake to have his fun. It couldn’t. Regardless of what Takeshi thought he’d achieved at the meeting with three senior members of the Shirokawa-gumi, his position at the end of the organisation wasn’t guaranteed. Others could still force them to a council a vote and Takeshi’s age would count against him.
Decades, multiple decades separated Takeshi from the heads of other yakuza organisations through the country and very few of them would want to see the former Osaka power handed over to a kid who was barely old enough to drink. There would be some who’d vote for Takeshi, either because they were tired of being the youngest of the select group or who were firm allies of his grandfather.
But none of those votes were guaranteed.
“Take? Who was on the phone?” Concern etched Takeshi’s voice as he strode across the room toward him while buttoning up his shirt.
Yoshitake watched him approach transfixed; annoyed too at the fabric covering up the tattoos etched into the young heir’s skin. Tattoos that hid the blacks, blues and yellows of the bruises left behind by Takeshi’s attackers. “Just checking in with the boys in Osaka. Making sure there won’t be any trouble tonight.”
Takeshi snorted. “Of course, there will be trouble. The Shirokawa-gumi is in chaos—will remain so until all the senior members fall into line—and rival organisations who want our power, our influence will try to test how strong I am. It’s more a case of who will come after me first?”
“Well, they can try but they won’t succeed.”
“What is our schedule for the night?” Takeshi asked, changing the topic and Yoshitake didn’t miss the nervousness flickering in the young heir’s eyes. When even your own people were gunning for you, your safety could never be guaranteed. Never knew who might allow your enemies to get close enough to hurt or kill. “And I don’t want to hide. I want everyone to know that I’m no longer the young heir to the Shirokawa-gumi but the boss.”
Yoshitake nodded. That plan suited him fine. “We’ll visit two bars and a host club… all places popular with your grandfather and his cohort.”
“Great, that’s just how I want to spend the night…fending off unwanted advances of the female variety.”
He grabbed a hold of Takeshi, hands cupping the man’s face and thumbs brushing teasingly over his plump lips. “Now isn’t the time. If you want to secure your position… then you’re going to have to fake it.” Yoshitake pressed against Takeshi’s lips harder until they gave way and his thumbs slipped inside Takeshi’s mouth. “Or at least smile, chat and flirt a bit and look as though their touch doesn’t disgust you.”
Takeshi sucked greedily on the digits, tongue laving at them and when Yoshitake tried to remove them, Takeshi was quicker, grabbing a hold of Yoshitake’s wrists and stilling them. He chuckled, they didn’t really have the time, but who was going to argue when the boss arrived late? No one if they were wise. Yoshitake leaned in, swirled his tongue around the shell of Takeshi’s ear and grinning at the tremble that passed through him before whispering, “Get on your knees, Boss… I’ve got something better for you to suck on.”
He removed his thumbs from Takeshi’s mouth and watched as the man sunk to his knees, hands scrabbling at the zipper of Yoshitake’s pants. Sliding a hand through Takeshi’s hair, he yanked on it hard, relishing the groan that escaped the man’s throat—high-pitched and needy. It would be better if Takeshi was naked, sprawled across his lap so that he could play with the man’s body while he sucked greedily on Yoshitake’s cock, but there really wasn’t time to play like he wanted. And fuck, Takeshi was beautiful like this, all strung out and desperate for something filling that sweet mouth of his. Worth spending all that time creating connections in Takeshi’s brain, associating a need to suck on something…anything during periods of stress. There were going to be so many moments like that in the coming weeks…and Yoshitake couldn’t wait to see how long it took for Takeshi to seek that need even when others were around.
“Come on, Boss… show me how desperate you are for it. How much you hunger for it.”
