๐ŸฆŸ COVID-19 is wreaking havoc in three Southern states

๐Ÿ˜ฎ SURPRISE!

Texas, Florida, and Missouri (Misery?) are currently contributing 40 percent to all COVID-19 cases. Most, of course, are the new Delta variant, which turns out to be "one of the most infectious respiratory viruses we know of, and that I have seen in my 20 year career" (CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky).

WOW.

Some dumbass state rep in Missouri (there it is again!) is bellyaching about "the gubmint" shoving stuff down his throat (sounds like a personal choice to me):

โ€˜Don't shove it down my throat!' Hospitalized patient says he'd rather get COVID again than get vaccinated

State Rep. Bill Kidd, from the Kansas City suburbs, revealed that he has been infected by the coronavirus.

โ€œAnd no, we didn't get the vaccine,โ€ he wrote in a post that has since been deleted. โ€œWe're Republicans ๐Ÿ˜†โ€

๐Ÿ“ฐ Newsflash, Einstein: Soon enough, hospital staff will be shoving something else down your throat when they have to put you into a medically-induced coma for your intubation.

๐Ÿ˜ซ I'm COVID-weary. I'm (not) sick and tired of it. I really wish we would have just listened to the experts and used some brain power to do the right thing, which was:

  1. Stay home
  2. Social distance when you can't stay home
  3. Wear a mask in public settings
  4. Get vaccinated

This isn't, nor was it ever, rocket science. Thanks for taking the reigns, Bezos!)

The real issue now is that variants have evolved and our vaccines will, at some point, if we don't contain them (which we clearly won't), become less effective against them. It's just a fact.

We are stupid stupid meat monkeys.
