Texas Court Bans Abortions AGAIN, US Back in UN Human Rights Council

Oct 15, 2021 8:36 pm

Happy Friday! Hope you have fun weekend plans coming up. I know I don't!

A Texas court reinstated the abortion ban law yesterday. I think conservatives are counting on this "back and forth" to cause fatigue and make people just stop thinking about it.

They know how to play the long game. I mean, they've been fighting against abortion for decades. And they aren't done yet. They won't stop until Roe v. Wade is overturned.

In other news, Butterball recalled tons of ground plastic. Uh, I mean, ground turkey. Yep, you read that right. Customers found ground up plastic in their ground turkey.

Butterball is recalling more than 14,000 pounds of turkey

Butterball issued a recall on more than 14,100 pounds of ground turkey products Wednesday after consumers told food safety regulators that they found pieces of blue plastic embedded in their raw ground turkey.

The items being recalled are the company's 2.5-pound “farm to family Butterball all natural Ground Turkey” trays with a sell-by date of October 18, and the three pound “Kroger Ground Turkey” trays with an October 17 sell-by date. Those items were produced on September 28, according to a press release from the US Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).

FSIS, which said that the turkey meat “may be contaminated with extraneous materials,” urged consumers who bought it to avoid consuming it. “These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase,” the agency said in a press release.

Just in time for Thanksgiving!

I know, nobody eats ground turkey for Thanksgiving. But maybe Butterball will put some plastic bottles in the turkey innards. Make sure you check!
