🗒️ Two Uvalde Police Officers Did Not Shoot Uvalde School Gunman When They Had the Chance
UVALDE, Texas — Two Uvalde city police officers passed up a fleeting chance to shoot a gunman outside Robb Elementary School before he went on to kill 21 people inside the school, a senior sheriff's deputy told The New York Times.
That would mean a second missed opportunity for officers to stop Salvador Ramos.
President Joe Biden is staring down a political wipeout within a few months.
A spike in oil and gas prices is threatening to deal Democrats a decisive defeat in the November midterms. The national average for a gallon of regular gasoline rose past $5 last weekend for the first time.
It's a 10 percent jump from a month ago, reflecting huge consumer demand outstripping the available supply of oil paired with severe aftershocks in energy markets from the war in Ukraine.

Is Steph Curry the GOAT? My opinion: Nope. But he has changed the game unlike any other and for that, he may be the most important player (MIP?) of all time.

Friday marked the 50th anniversary of the Watergate burglary that would end Richard M. Nixon’s presidency two years later.
By then, his vice president and successor, Gerald R. Ford Jr., would tell Americans, “Our long national nightmare is over.”
Little could Ford or his audience have imagined the nation’s current nightmare, one that’s far from over. We’re enduring the biggest presidential scandal since Watergate, or ever: Donald Trump’s continued assault on democracy, following his unprecedented refusal to accept the 2020 election result and allow for the peaceful transfer of power to the winner.
When it comes to presidential disgrace, Don the Con tops even Tricky Dick. Trump, however, has had much more help achieving his ignominy.
(CNN)Three people suffered injuries Friday evening at San Francisco International Airport's departure terminal after a man attacked them with an "edged weapon," authorities said. Editor: Sounds like a...knife!
The suspect drove to the airport around 6 p.m. local time and walked around the departure terminal before pulling out the weapon and assaulting three men, San Francisco Police Department spokesperson Robert Rueca said in a statement.
The victims were treated for non-life-threatening injuries at the scene and released, Rueca said.
The suspect's identity is being withheld at this time, pending charges and an active investigation, Rueca added....
