March 16, 2022 The Morning Sixpack (TMS)

Wow, what a news day! Ukraine's president addresses Congress, asking for aid; the Fed is about to raise interest rates for the first time in four years; Pfizer seeks authorization for a 4th booster shot; and Herschel Walker fumbles again, this time on evolution.

There is so much going on today, I'm just giddy! So much, in fact, that I may have to publish a second sixpack.

But Sixpack Monkey is putting up a literal stink - he's throwing his own poop around at the mere suggestion that he work twice as hard today.

So he need a little love...you know what to do.

The news, in brief...

Zelenskyy delivered a remote address to the US Congress. He got a standing O. He needs help. What remains to be seen is what kind of "help" are we, and NATO and the EU, willing to give him without going into a full-fledged world war with Russian (and maybe China and a whole bunch of small, shitty dictator-led "countries" that Putin has recruited over the decades)?

COVID is making a comeback, as if it ever really left. We just collectively decided, "It's over. Take your shit and don't come back!" But like the lonely, persistent stalker it is, COVID just said, "NOPE! I'll be back!"

And she's showing up in increased cases in Europe and parts of Asia. We'll see an uptick here in the US in a few weeks, if history proves to be a prelude to the future.
