"NOPEN"

Hi there, I don't do this often enough, but I should. Not for the normal "marketing" reasons ("trim your list, improve your open rates" blech), but because I want to do how I can serve you better.
What?
You haven't opened an email from me in the past month.
A couple questions, one obvious, one maybe not so much.
(Oh, yes, I realize you probably won't open this email either, so I'm probably just talking into the void.)
- Why are you not opening my emails? Do you have preview on? Are you at least reading the subject lines and saying, "Nah, not for me..."?
- Is there a reason you signed up but don't really read anything?
Lastly, should I remove you from my contacts/list? I really don't want to, but I guess I probably should. You don't want to be here anyway.
Thoughts?
Bill
PS - I'd be remiss if I didn't ask: What did you think you were signing up for? I send an email nearly every business day. I told you I'd be doing that when you signed up.
PPS - I also have to ask: What would get you to open the emails? Am I not providing any value to you? (And, how would you know? You don't open the emails any way!)
PPPS - Lastly (I promise), why do you stay subscribed?
It could be that this is all BS because my email service provider isn't capturing when you do open these emails...
Let me know, please!
