World Builders' Guild Newsletter

It's called World Builders' Guild for a reason.

We're here to create. Never to destroy. We lift up our fellow builders who toil away at obscure, and lovingly-crafted spaces. They write blogs, they create recipes, they're authors, they're streamers, musicians, painters, weekend-warrior sketchers, photographers-in-training.

They're making the things that make life beautiful and challenging and interesting.

We come together to celebrate taking risks with our creative powers.

Nobody knows how to do it right the first time.

Maybe even the first hundred times.

We're making some-things from no-things.

A million things that weren't here yesterday are here tomorrow and we have the great joy and pleasure of watching them come to life, bit by bit, ink blot by ink blot, pixel to page.

Creation is the primal force arising from the void between matter. We somehow, some way pluck a thought out of the gunpowder chaos of the synapses, frame it, stare at it with precision and trepidation and wonder and then roll up our sleeves and chisel away until the form is revealed.

The soul sighs in relief. It is free of the tension required to draw forth an unmistakably real artifact from the edge of consciousness.

Find a soul in need of that relief.

The best part is the more we create, the more we have. No other creator's art comes at the expense of your own drive to make. It is the endless font of energy and fun and exploration.

Gary Vaynerchuk said it well:

Who are you cheering for right now?

To future worlds,

Matt Ventre
