I'm in perpetual motion, spyglass to my eye, in search of ways to make things better.
World building, as I've mentioned previously, is far from an exercise in escapism. True, visiting a brilliant world can transport your soul to a new plane of existence. You feel different. Your senses awaken in ways they may not day to day without that splendid whiff of the exotic. Is it a cheat code to access a sliver of the divine?
The act of creation; of brick-by-brick erecting a place of wonder, amusement, excitement, challenge, horror (!!!), or community. This is a work of understanding. It's an effort of synthesizing the ways in which your visitors will consume the environment. Likewise, how the environment will consume them. What do they need, deep down, that you can create for them? Where do they go once they're there? What do they take with them from the world into other worlds?

I feel what many of you are likely feeling at the moment: isolation, doubt, uncertainty. It's part of the mind's experience on this cosmic ride when things feel weird and extreme. It's like when you crest a hump on Space Mountain, sure that the old contraption will launch you into an unseen girder. It never happens, but the scare is real.
Building is the answer. There are places we can go, together, that keep us creating, well-adjusted, and supported (this is one of them). Creation is an act of kindness for your fellow human and a small thank you to the natural forces that shape reality.
The universe depends on you to manifest that which it cannot naturally. You have been imbued with a deep and mysterious power to bring forth things that were moments before non existent.
Use this power for good. And give yourself a chance to develop it.
The world needs you.
