Self Reflection

Dear ,
I have shared before that one of my self love practices is having time for myself to self reflect .
This is also something huge for my coaching clients especially those who struggle with overthinking and anxiety. I always ask them to practice something we call self witnessing just to observe what's going on in their head.
The more we understand our patterns the better we can get at changing ourselves.
The more we spend time with ourselves, the better we get at knowing ourselves and having more self compassion on ourselves.
This weekend, schedule sometime for yourself to self reflect. You can utilize these questions to guide you.
What is that one thing I need to stop doing to achieve my goals?
It could be you want healthier, fulfilling relationships, what could you be doing that is standing in the way of achieving that?
Is it an issue with self discipline and self control, is it a self identity issue or a lack of self confidence? Write down what that is.
Picture yourself at your old age. At 90 for instance ; what are the things you regret not having done?
Basically, what are the things you really want to do in your life time?
As you picture yourself at 90, do you regret not having gone for your dream relationship? Not following your calling in life, not working on your relationship with your loved ones?
This sheds light to you on what you should be prioritizing now in your life currently.
What's the worst thing people can say about you?
Often time, our fear of failure comes from thinking how embarrassing it will be in the eyes of other people when we fail.
You will realize how much your life is in the hands of other people and their opinions. Isn't it sad that you live to please other people instead of really prioritizing what makes you happy and truly fulfilled?
After reflecting, come up with some action plans based on your findings. Actually you can decide to do one thing a day that ensures you are moving in the direction of the new changes you want to make.
I truly wish you all the best.
