Are you feeling stuck with your learned behaviors from childhood trauma?

Dear ,

๐Ÿ˜“ Since my early childhood, I have been a very emotional child. I had a lot of tantrums and a lot of emotions growing up. On some days, I would get so angry that my head would hurt so bad, and most times, it would end up in painful tears and self-hating statements. The realization that the inner child is the person who enjoys life gave me more reason to heal because if my inner child wasnโ€™t happy then that meant I would stay a sad woman.

๐Ÿ˜“ Childhood trauma can lead to various learned behaviors and coping mechanisms and they are never supportive of us experiencing the life we desire.

Maybe you are hyper-vigilant, constantly monitoring the environment for signs of potential danger or abuse.

You developed a fear of physical or emotional intimacy due to association with trauma.

Maybe you have some self-destructive behaviors as a way to cope with overwhelming emotions or feelings of shame.

Constant criticism or belittling yourself because thatโ€™s what happened in your household.

Seeking validation and approval from others to compensate for the lack of positive reinforcement you missed at home.

Acting out or seeking attention in disruptive ways because you lacked emotional or physical care.

You have a fear of abandonment and difficulty forming trusting relationships so your relationships hardly get to the stable stage.

You still experience deep sadness in your life, longing, and feelings of emptiness due to some kind of loss.

You have become miss independent because you learned being independent is what can keep you safe because no one seemed to care and they were hardly present.

๐Ÿฆ‹ Reparenting myself was one key thing that helped me in my healing and itโ€™s also about acknowledging our parents may have hurt us but they did the best they could. If you recognize parts of you in these descriptions, I invite you to join us this April 9th for the Healing Childhood Trauma Bootcamp and allow this inner child to be seen, heard, and loved.
