Education: Separating the Good from the Great
Nov 04, 2022 9:36 pm
I hope this email finds you well We're getting ready for the Murphy Business Annual Educational Conference next week at our headquarters in Clearwater, FL. Continuing education is imperative for a Business Broker, and I wanted to briefly touch on that in my email this week.
Like any industry, the business world is constantly changing. That's why (at least in South Dakota) Business Brokers are required to complete annual Continuing Education requirements. Sometimes this can be an arduous task, but, ultimately, it makes for better brokers. For me, personally, I took this a step further and got my MBA after five years in the business. It was important for me to develop my knowledge and skills further and going through the exercise of getting an advanced degree helped me hone the skills I had acquired, refresh what I already knew, and gain a whole lot of new knowledge.
When looking for a business broker to represent you as a buyer or seller keep in mind the letters they have after their name along with the real-world experience they bring to the table.
As always, I'm looking forward to hearing from you soon!
Happy Friday,
Josh
