How Are Your Negative Beliefs Keeping You Comfortable?

Hey,
Here's...
Something to think on in your week:
- How are your negative beliefs about yourself keeping you comfortable?
A quote to support your thinking:
- "There are parts of you that want the sadness. Find them out. Ask them why." - Yrsa Daley-Ward
Some action steps to consider:
- Do a focusing session to dive deeper in to the negative belief. Focusing is a meditation practice to help you tap in to how you're feeling a little more deeply (If you're a hyper practical person, ignore the more woo-woo content on the linked page: think of it as an intense mindfulness meditation)
- Get out a sheet of paper and write your negative belief at the top. Create two columns. In one, write a list of how your negative belief is keeping you comfortable - in the other, write a list of how your negative belief is keeping you from doing what you're capable of. Then, create a list of small actions you could take to change your negative belief.
Appreciate you,
