Cascade of Sparks Update

I just sent off the manuscript for Cascade of Sparks to the editor for the final round of corrections. Once the edits are finished I will send the final cover copy to the book cover designer and start getting everything ready for publishing. The book will be available on Amazon later this year.

Since we're an intimate group here, I'll be sharing my book cover here first. Here's a little sneak peak just to get you excited:

Work in Progress - Love and Lab Extractions

I'm also working on a prequel novella that takes place in the same world. The book focuses on two characters who are all grown up in Book One--Historian Strailer and Ambassador Lilliana--and takes them back to their youth together. A long time ago they were lab partners and the chemistry between them is strong. Their opposites-attract romance is a lot of fun with a touch of adventure. We'll see some of the other prequel characters in later books as well.

One problem I'm working on is figuring out what happens to Lilliana and Strailer's relationship after their book ends. They have a happy ending in the prequel, but they clearly aren't together 70 years later in Cascade of Sparks. Why did they break up? Was it just because Lilliana moves to the imperial center for her big ambassador job? Did they have a big fight?

I would love to have them get back together throughout the series as a second-chance romance. If you have any ideas, I'd love to hear them!
